A testament to Normandy's agricultural and craft traditions, Beuvron-en-Auge has been awarded the “Plus Beaux Villages de France” and “Village de caractère du Calvados” labels, and offers visitors a harmonious layout:
- at the entrances, timber-framed houses line the streets and alleys, along with a 17th-century church
- in the center, the Place Vermughen, surrounded by houses of Augeron architecture from the 16th to 18th centuries, a 15th-century manor house, a market hall, shops (click) and restaurants (click).
Nearby, the restored former school houses a space dedicated to “Arts and crafts area” (click).
Beuvron-en-Auge is also an invitation to explore the roads and footpaths of the Pays d'Auge, its flora and fauna, its stud farms and 17th- and 18th-century manor houses, and the nearby Clermont-en-Auge chapel (click).
